Efficient color shadow hull computation using CUDA

초록

In this research, we cover volumetric shadow hull creation using CUDA. The parallel programming model of CUDA provides an efficient method for handling computations of every voxel in the volume. Moreover, if we use a good configuration for organizing threads to utilize parallel computing capability of CUDA, we can achieve an optimistic performance. We also colorize shadow hull from color images instead of silhouette images. By that way, we can create more attractive 3D objects and lead to more applications. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
