초록

We calculate coincident neutrino (anti neutrino) scattering via the neutral current from a O-16 target nucleus, O-16(v, v'p), in the quasielastic region within the framework of a relativistic single particle model for bound and continuum states. In the inclusive neutrino-nucleus reaction, A(v, v'), strangeness effects on knocked-out protons are nearly cancelled by those of neutrons. Therefore, in this coincident (v, v'p) reaction, one can expect clearer signals of the strangeness effects, in spite of the difficulties in real experiments on this neutrino-nucleus reaction. Incident neutrino energies are used up to 2.4 GeV following Jlab-type electron energies. The effects of strangeness for the knocked-out protons located on outer orbits are studied not only for the cross section but also for various response functions in the reaction. Our results for the coincident (v, v'p) reaction show more explicitly the effects of strangeness on the physical quantities than our results for the inclusive reaction. We discuss the difference between the response functions obtained from the O-16(v, v'p) and the O-16(e, e'p) reactions.
