초록

With the rapid growth of the online market and the widespread adoption of mobile shopping, demand for last-mile delivery has significantly increased. However, urban logistics infrastructure has struggled to keep pace, and the burden on delivery workers has intensified. In response, delivery robots have emerged as a potential solution, but there remain considerable practical challenges to their implementation. This study proposes utilizing convenience stores as robot delivery hubs, rather than relying on mobile or fixed logistics stations. In addition, a mathematical model is developed to optimize both the location of these robot hubs and the delivery radius. The model is used to evaluate whether the proposed configuration offers the most efficient solution. Ultimately, the proposed approach is expected to enhance the benefits of advancing delivery robot technologies while alleviating the labor intensity of delivery personnel in the last-mile process. © 2026, International.
