A Pilot Study on Community Homeschooling: Holistic Development and Implications within a Faith-Based Education Framework

This study aims to explore the initial effects of a community homeschooling pilot program. Specifically, it seeks to provide micro-level insights into how the community model addresses the needs of various families. Through this, the study aims to draw implications for the future activation of community homeschooling. Specifically, a qualitative case study was conducted on the “Community Homeschooling” pilot program as a form of community-based homeschooling rooted in a faith-based framework. Conducted through a series of pilot sessions from April to June 2024, the study explores the feasibility and impact of this holistic approach. The results indicate success in fostering spiritual growth, academic engagement, and strong community bonds among participating families. The implications of this study demonstrate the feasibility and potential of the “church-home-school” integrated educational model, which has significant implications for the education of the next generation. This model complements the limitations of traditional educational systems and presents an alternative educational paradigm that seeks holistic growth based on faith values and community ties.
