연결어미의 의미 기능과 메타언어 선정에 대하여 - 후행절 제약 양상을 토대로 -

초록

The aims of this paper is to examine the meta-languages for semantic description of Korean connective endings. For this, I inspect the complex clauses that have the semantic and syntactic restrictions of the following clauses. As a result, I suggest the principle of meta-language assessment of connective endings: to focus on the semantic function of connective relation of antecedent clause and following clause. Also, the main function of subordinate connective clause is conjunction rather than modification. So I argue that the clauses that are combined with connective endings, must be the conjunctive clause, not the embedded clause.
