현대 문법이론의 대상과 방법에 대한 再考­-랑그와 언어능력의 개념을 중심으로­

초록

The aim of this article is to review critically about estrangement of the methology for the theological theme on modern grammarical theories what are centered by Transformational-Generative Grammar(TGG). The theological goal of TGG is Language Competence(LC). But we cannot achieve the goal by only analysis of language data. The reason is that the innateness of LC is from Language Organs(LO). LO is not only a part of brain but a part of general cognitive organs, for example, articulator and auditory organ, or the nervous system what connect to symbolic system between the sensible organs and brain. LO is a biological and psychological theme. But method of TGG(at least before Minimalist Program) was making universal structure from only common feature of languages data. The confidence about universality of languages structure what is from analysis itself was derived from convention about Saussure's 'Langue'. There is no language in LO what contain the 'intial state of LC'. And there is no grammatical form as a language structure. There is just 'Competence' but no language data. Chomsky(1995)'s 'computational system' exist after language stimulation. He called that it is 'internalization'. Above all, functional relation of sentence is just data of language, is not all human language competence. They call that it is 'transformation'. But it is just functional relation, not processing in human mind. We must review about agreement of our theological theme and the method. And we must recognize that other grammatical theories has other domain rather than they are opposed.
