초록

Some contemporary versions of the mind-body problem are in some way related to Spinoza’s mind-body theory. Spinoza has been seen as influential in contemporary mind-body theories such as person theory, and some aspects of cognitive science. It is clear that Spinoza’s theory contains much which chimes in with modern approaches to the problem. Thus, in this paper, I examined some arguments from cognitive science and P. F. Strawson, in turn in order to consider the possibility of whether they can be used to throw light on Spinoza’s mind-body theory.
