증권형 가상자산의 투자자보호에 관한 연구

초록

KRW(Korean Won) is one of the 4 key currencies in world virtual asset market. Therefore, the necessity of appropriate regulation for virtual asset in Korea has raised. The main views of this paper are as follows; First, principle-based regulation is more efficient and effective for virtual asset, because virtual asset itself has fast changing character. Second, self-regulation is more accurate and appropriate for virtual asset, because virtual assets have diversity in nature. Therefore this paper insists that public regulation should be considered as complementally for virtual asset market. Third, this paper suggests that sandbox regulation and dual listing should be brought into the Korean virtual asset market, so that investors can have the right of choice on the trading venue for their needs. The traditional exchange such as Korea Exchange could be chosen by the one who prefers to market integrity. On the other hand, the new virtual asset exchanges such as Bithumb and Coinone could be chosen by the one who prefers to the lower entry barriers.
