초록

This paper is a consideration about Modal-aspect, in Korean. It is marked by pre-final endings(‘-eot-’, ‘-ket-’, ‘-doe-’, ‘-neun-’). Their aspectual functions are changable, according to kind of verb or mutual relation in their complex.It is called that ‘-eot-’ mark to Finish. But in the aspectual condition of verb stem, it mark to the outset of resulting-state as wall as the finished-state of action or state. And some case, it mark Perfective as the hearer's point of view(on the complex ‘-eot-ket-’, specially), or mark Perfective as speaker's point of view(on the complex with adjective, specially). In the complex of ‘-eot-’, ‘-ket-’, ‘-doe-’, ‘-neun-’, the later restrict the modal-aspectuality of the former. The former is reduce of lose its modal-aspectuality. Therefore, Predominancy of Korean modal-aspects are ‘-eot-<-ket-<-doe-<-neun-’ in accordance with their order.Their grammatical functions are called Perfective(-eot-), Presumptive(-ket-), Recollective(-deo-) and Presentive(-neun-), in this paper.
