Flow-based analytic model with deletion policies

This paper deals with the flow-based analytic model of deletion policy used with tree-based Ethernet routing such as the spanning tree protocol (STP) in LAN and the shortest path bridging (SPB) in backbone networks. Due to the scalability and the calculation complexity, the inclusion of the deletion policy to the flow analysis framework is hard to achieve. The proposed flow-based analytic model has two special approaches. Firstly, the model is built in two levels. The lower level is in charge of the nodal operation and the upper level handles the scheduling of low level operation and connecting nodes in a network. Secondly, three deletion policies are proposed and modeled in the low level. This paper also includes the comparison of three deletion policies by using the data results from the proposed analysis model. © 2013 International Information Institute.
