Real-time database query monitoring method using vehicle black box function

초록

This paper proposes a real-time database query monitoring method applying aircraft and vehicle black box function. By extending typical black box function, a novel visualization technique in IT security monitoring is suggested which records query sending and response results in the query flow in a video format. Applying the aircraft and vehicle black box has two main effects. Firstly, we can monitor real-time activities between DB query tool and DBMS. Secondly, real-time query monitoring log in video format is provided as an audit trail. In the course of monitoring the query flow, executions of activities and occurrences of basic events are continuously observed in every sending query period. Thus, by using the screen-recording of the black box, the probability of data loss can be reduced. It is based on the ongoing status as the period progresses. © 2013 ISSN 1881-803X.
