초록
This study aims to explore the occupational barriers faced by ski demonstrators and the processes through which they overcome these challenges. Participants were selected based on a preliminary open-ended online survey, targeting ski demonstrators who had experienced occupational difficulties and consented to participate in the research. In-depth interviews were conducted, and Colaizzi’s phenomenological method was employed to analyze the data. Through meaning-centered interviews, significant statements were extracted and categorized into themes and theme clusters to reveal the essence of shared experiences. The analysis identified several key barriers encountered by ski demonstrators: structural limitations of a seasonal occupation, physical barriers including injury, psychological and emotional challenges, and social perception-related obstacles. In overcoming these difficulties, participants drew motivation from self-efficacy and a desire for growth, a sense of bonding with clients, attachment to and identity in the profession, and short-term compensation and work-life balance. These findings provide a multidimensional understanding of the occupational environment of ski demonstrators and offer foundational insights for developing practical support measures. The study also highlights the need for a multi-level approach, including institutional support, public perception improvement, and professional training for sports instructors.
