태권도 경기화 과정을 통해본 택견 경기규칙의 재조명

초록

The purpose This study aims to revisit Taekkyon (an early form of Taekwondo) rule formation period and its process through documents inquiries by reinterpreting the past in the course of change in Taekwondo competition. The result of the study is as follows. First, As the modern form of Taekwondo has been established as the current form of Taekwondo game through competition, Subak(手搏) or a martial arts practiced in the Goryeo Dynasty has been settled down as Subakhee(手搏戱). A specialty has come out of this process; Neujin Balgil (Slow kicking technique) part of Taekkyon techniques might be naturally introduced due to then inevitable competition structure and all sorts of circumstances where trainees without safeguard equipment had to directly hit and strike with nothing on. Second, it is noted that Taekwondo, with safeguards on though, has changed towards Taekkyon through changes in the rules that allow players directly hit and strike the other counterpart. Therefore, it is positively asserted that if players take off the protective equipment joining in Taekwondo competition, the Neujin Balgil, through the same process, will be introduced and further be changed into the form of Taekkyon competition.
