한국어 방언 음운론 연구의 흐름 -2000년대 이후의 연구 성과를 중심으로-

초록

This article aims to organize and review the researches on Korean dialect phonology published since the 2000s, categorizing them by topic. First, the concept of dialect phonology is defined as a field that describes and explains phonological phenomena in the Korean language both synchronically and diachronically, based on the relationships between dialects or between dialects and standard Korean. Based on this concept, the researches are presented and summarized under the themes of the history of Korean phonology and dialects, modern Korean phonology and phonetics in dialects, and dialect phonology as a subfield of dialectology. Research in dialect phonology has focused on interpreting patterns of change in the Korean language by understanding relationships between dialects. It is expected that the scope of research will expand by collectiong dialect data and adopting research methods from experimental phonetics and sociolinguistics.
