Effects of Aerobic and CrossFit Exercise on Body Composition and Isokinetic Strength in Obese Middle-Aged Women

초록

This study aimed to examine the effects of aerobic and CrossFit exercise programs on body composition and isokinetic strength in obese middle-aged women. The CrossFit program consisted of five rounds of eight consecutive exercises, each performed for 30 seconds with 2-minute rest intervals between rounds, totaling 30 minutes. This was followed by a 30 minute treadmill based aerobic exercise session. Data were analyzed using SPSS(Windows version 24.0), and descriptive statistics were used to summarize the participants’ physical characteristics and measured variables (body composition and isokinetic strength). Differences within and between groups were analyzed using repeated measures ANOVA, with the significance level set at α=.05. The results showed significant reductions in body weight and body fat percentage, along with a significant increase in muscle mass(p<.05, p<.01, p<.001). Additionally, significant improvements were observed in maximal strength, including right/left knee extension and flexion (0<.01, p<.001). These findings suggest that implementing aerobic and CrossFit exercise programs can effectively improve body composition and isokinetic strength in obese middle-aged women.
