초록
The purpose of this study is to identify the arrival pattern of ships that offers the best common profits applicable to both service providers and service users. To accomplish this, the throughput, ship waiting ratio, and economic efficiency were analyzed by applying the standard deviation(SD) concept to the arrival period of the ship, using a computer simulation technique. According to the SD-specific correlation results, the ship waiting ratio gradually increases along with SD based on the same interval(SI) when the ship arrives, and increases rapidly at the SD 40% section. In addition, while the throughput also gradually increases, it reaches a peak value in the 20% SD section before it decreases again. However, when it reaches the 40% SD section, it decreases suddenly. The economic efficiency also gradually decreases initially, and after it reaches a peak point in the SD 20% section, it slowly decreases and then sharply drops before and after the SD 40% section. Through this research, it was found that maintaining the ship’s operation plan at the port within a range of SD 20% to SD 40% instead of at the same intervals is the optimum economic condition for a terminal operation company(TOC), shipping companies, and shippers.
