초록
This study examined the effect of perceived appropriateness of punishment provisions under the Serious Accidents Punishment Act on safety procedures among 230 manufacturing workers, and tested the multiple parallel mediating effects of safety communication, safety interest, and safety commitment in this relationship. Structural equation modeling showed that punishment provision appropriateness had a significant direct effect on safety procedures, and all three indirect paths through the mediators were also significant. However, no statistically significant difference was found among the relative sizes of the three mediating paths. These findings suggest that organizational communication and individual-level interest and commitment operate jointly, rather than through any single dominant path, in translating perceptions of punishment provisions into safety procedure compliance. This study provides empirical evidence for safety management policy in manufacturing settings by identifying the multiple mediating structure linking punishment provision appropriateness and safety procedure compliance.
