Development of multi-channel brain stimulator

Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is one of the popular electro-therapeutic method. To improve the effect of DBS, we developed a stimulator that can generate various electric signals. It is possible to generate non-periodic as well as periodic signals and set up to four channels respectively. Experiments were conducted to confirm whether the stimulus generated by the device was normally delivered to the rat brain. It was confirmed that electrical signals were transmitted well and affected the neurons' activities. © 2018 IEEE.
