국어 피동의 상
초록
The purpose of this study is to explain the reason why Korean passive sentence has a stative aspect. The proposed reason for this is that the ‘Temporal Area of Viewpoint(TAV)’ of a passive sentence comes to the latter part of a transitive event, compared to the TAV of an active sentence. It is originated from lexical aspect of passive verbs. A passive verb derived from either an achievement verb or an accomplishment verb(PV1) has telicity, while a passive verb derived from activity verb(PV2) has not. Therefore, PV1 has resultant state when it is combined with ‘-eot-’, a Korean grammatical morpheme for a viewpoint aspect or tense. This is the reason why native speakers consider the passive sentence as stative.
