Block Ordered JBSTBC Scheme in Highly Correlated MIMO Channels

This paper proposes JBSTBC (Joint Beamtbrming Space-Time Block Coding) scheme for MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) communication systems. To enhance the order of spatial diversity in the presence of deteriorative fading correlation as well as inter-substream interference, the proposed JBSTBC method employs joint eigen-beamforming technique together with the block ordered STBC decoding scheme. In order to confirm superiority of the proposed JBSTBC method, the computer simulations are conducted in highly correlated fading situations with providing detailed mathematical derivations for clarifying functionality of the proposed scheme.
