In order to strengthen the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry, major developed countries are actively promoting smart factory construction. Smart Factory is a factory that can install sensors on elements of physical factories, convert physical signals into digital signals, connect machines, people, supply chain partners, etc., and smartly manage them on their own based on collected big data. The core of Smart Factories is at its power of data analysis, and the introduction of Big Data, which is the base for this, is very important. In particular, the percentage of SMEs in Korea is very high (99.82%), and in order to strengthen the competitiveness of manufacturing industry, the policy for introduction of SMEs ‘smart factory is continuously implemented, but, the level of smart factory introduction stays in its basic level. The core to smart factories is that, although the introduction of big data is very important in the power of data analysis, the research about examining the cause about the influence on introduction is very insufficient. In this paper, it is meaningful that we deducted and suggested the factors affecting the intention of big data introduction.
