초록

This study focused on comparing the longitudinal associations between two types of academic motivation (self-determination theory, goal-achievement motivation) and academic environment (parent-support, child-teacher relationship, peer-relationship) of adolescents in Korean culture. For this purpose, 5054 students' data from the Korean Education Longitudinal Study (KELS) were used. The results, based on autoregressive cross-lagged effect modeling, indicated that previous academic motivation and academic environment had continuous effect on the following academic motivation and academic environment. It also indicated that academic motivation had an effect on academic environment and vice versa; academic environment had significant effect on academic motivation only from junior high school to high school.
