Web-based Electronic Data Interchange Model to Improve the Collaboration of Participants in Construction Projects

초록
The development of a Web-based XML/Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) model to improve the efficiency of information management among construction participants is discussed. The model would improve the collaboration of participants in construction projects. The XML/EDI Model can be used for supporting document exchange and sharing of construction data among construction field and head offices through company intranet systems. It is assumed to be a valuable system if used as a substructure of the private sector of continuous acquisition and life-cycle support (CALS) that the government leads.
