A national comparative study of the effects of webtoon contents and cooperative characteristics on intention to use in open collaboration platform

Along with development of digital technology recently, a new concept of digital contents platform is appearing. Although using of digital contents based on open collaboration platform is achieving success in many fields, it still neither uses its advantage nor properly makes profits. The purpose of this study is to find what factors influence intention on the use of webtoon service, targeting those who experience webtoon services, centered with successful webtoon service of digital contents based on open collaboration platform. Establishing characteristics of webtoon and open collaboration factors as independent variables and user's satisfaction and participation in cooperation creation activities as parameter, this study finally examined the influence on intention to use. In particular, this study examined what difference exists among each country by comparing Korea and Vietnam after establishing the country's controlling factor. In that way, this study gives implication that we can invite more users by applying not only wetboon as well as various digital contents platforms. © 2017 International Information Institute.
