아이린 그레이의 디자인에 있어서 가구와 건축의 유기적 통합에 관한 연구
초록
In the 1920s and 1930s, when the avant-garde movement of modern architecture was at its peak, Eileen Gray(1878-1976) already recognized its limitations and presented practical and creative solutions to the external firstism of modern architecture with a few works, not as a conceptual declaration of the modern art movements. Gray achieved the organic integration of furniture and architecture in her signature works, E.1027 and Tempe à Pailla. It can be summarized as a result of this review; First, the interior furniture and equipment were planned in advance and the shape of the partition wall was adjusted in consideration of furniture. Second, the interior space was constructed by considering furniture and equipment equal as architectural elements in the interior elevation design. By planning the outline of all elements in the elevation on the same plane, furniture or equipment could be integrated into architecture functionally and structurally without being treated individually. Third, a detailed storage plan has been established in the interior space, and furniture other than built-in furniture is made to be easily moved, allowing it to flexibly cope with the needs of residents. This flexibility, mobility, and adjustability make it possible to minimize the size of construction, and can be combined with a modern lifestyle by bringing space fluidity.
