명사의 의미론: 문장과 텍스트 차원의 의미 생성과 해석 기제를 중심으로

초록

The purpose of this paper is to suggest a view of noun’s meaning on the sentence which is polysemous according to the contexts. This paper classifies and demonstrates the four mechanisms in which a noun represents its meaning in a given sentence or text. These mechanisms comes with Pinker(2000). He argued that regular and irregular phenomena were products of ‘computation’ and ‘memory lookup’, respectively, and that language could be understood as an interaction between the two. The same is true of noun’s meaning. A noun represents its meaning in a given sentence using ‘lookup’ and ‘computation’. The mechanism of ‘lookup’ is divided into two parts, and the mechanism of ‘computation’ is also divided into ‘metaphor’ and ‘cohering’.
