Although check cards are gaining great popularity among young Koreans, research on check cards itself is still lacking, and studies on optimizing the benefits of check cards have not been conducted so far. In this study, we formulate a mathematical model that maximizes the benefits of check cards mainly used by college students. Based on this, a numerical experiment will be conducted to validate the model and propose the best way to select and use a check card in order to maximize the benefits that fit each user’s lifestyle. © 2023, ICIC International.
